BYD Philippines just announce the first plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) Pickup in the country, the 2025 BYD Shark 6 DMO.
The 2025 BYD Shark 6 DMO is an All Wheel Drive (AWD) pickup truck that features a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a dual permanent magnet Synchronous motor. It offers a combined power of 435 Ps and 650 Nm of torque, and a maximum driving range of over 800km. Fully electric, the 2025 BYD Shark 6 will offer a 100km of range.
As for its performance, on paper the 2025 BYD Shark 6 DMO can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 secs and it has a battery capacity of 29.6 kWh BYD Blade Battery. Underneath, it has a reinforced chassis with a front and rear double wishbone suspension system, as well as front and rear ventilated disc.
As for its size, the 2025 BYD Shark 6 DMO offers 5 seating capacity and measures 5.457 meters long, 1.925 meters tall, 1.971 meters wide, has a 230mm ground clearance, and a 3.260-meter wheelbase. Comparable to Ford Ranger Raptor size.

For other interior features, the BYD Shark 6 DMO will have a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. It has a 8-speaker audio system and it include 4G connectivity, voice assistance and BYD cloud service. Available in 3 colors; Deep sea Blue, Cosmos Black and Aurora White. The BYD Shark 6 DMO Premium will retail ₱2,298,000, while the BYD Shark 6 DMO Advanced will cost ₱2,098,000, BYD Philippines said that they will have a special introductory offers available until March 31, 2025.
