New EV Shuttle Service Links PITX to SM Mall of Asia

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) launched a new electric shuttle service last January 24, connecting the transport hub to SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay.

This eco-friendly initiative aims to provide a convenient and sustainable travel option for office workers, students, mall-goers, and condominium residents traveling between PITX, MOA, and its surrounding areas.

The EV shuttles, manufactured by GET Philippines, can take up to 30 passengers and are equipped with air conditioning units, WiFi, CCTV, and an access ramp for Persons with Disabilities.

Trips will operate every Friday to Sunday on a designated route, making stops at key locations within the SM Mall of Asia complex:

  • SMX/NATIONAL UNIVERSITY
  • SM MOA South Wing
  • SM MOA North Wing
  • Two E-Com Center
  • Four E-Com Center
  • SM Retail HQ/Shore Residences Bldg. C
  • Shore 3 Residences
  • Shell Residences
  • SM MOA Globe
  • Sea Residences

The PITX-SM MOA COMPLEX EV shuttles will be stationed in Gate 8 Bay 19. Each ride costs P25, payable via the GETPass App. The app also provides real-time updates, including vehicle tracking, schedules, and route details.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, PITX President Jaime Feliciano shared, “Yun ang gusto nating i-establish— mas reliable yung service para yung pasahero merong peace of mind, less anxiety sa kanila kasi there is a schedule to be maintained… Hindi siya magsa-stop kung saan-saan like a traditional jeepney.

The service is currently limited to three shuttles, which depart every 30 minutes between 7 AM and 7 PM. More units will be added as demand grows.

The PITX also has stated that, if successful, this electrification initiative will be expanded to other projects undertaken by its parent company, Megawide Construction Corporation. This includes the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit system, scheduled for partial operations in the fourth quarter of 2025.
