Toyota Motor Philippines quietly launched the 2025 Corolla Altis Hybrid series, marking a subtle update to the popular electrified sedan. The 2025 Corolla Altis is available in three variants, but let’s focus on the electrified model.

The 1.8 GR-S HEV features redesigned front and rear bumper assemblies, paired with 17-inch alloy wheels for an enhanced visual appeal. At the back, a black spoiler has been integrated, complemented by smoked taillights and darkened accents.

The decals have also been updated, with Beyond Zero ‘HEV’ (replacing ‘HYBRID’) on both sides and the rear of the vehicle. However, traffic officers may not immediately recognize “HEV” as signifying a hybrid vehicle, potentially leading to incorrect enforcement of number coding restrictions.

Building upon last year’s major upgrade, this unit incorporates lithium-ion batteries with a 4 Ah capacity. This significant improvement in battery technology directly translates to a substantial enhancement in fuel efficiency.
