Last November 21st, BYD Philippines has officially introduce the Seal 5 DM-i in country.
As previously mentioned, the BYD Seal 5 DM-i is a low-cost EV sedan with a starting price of ₱948,000.00. You read that right, an EV that is sub ₱1M. You can consider this as premium electric vehicle with an entry level price.
Available in Dynamic and Premium model, the BYD Seal 5 DM-i features a front wheel drive (FWD) drive train using a Permanent Magnet Synchronouse Motor that deliver up to 197 Ps (hp) and up to 325 of torque, on Premium model.
BYD Seal 5 DM-i battery will also vary depending on your model, since the Dynamic will be using a 8.3 kWh, while the Premium will have 18.3 kWh, double the capacity of the Dynamic model.
On the interior, the dashboard will feature an 8.8 inches LCD display with leather soft touch finish. For the infotainment, it will have a 12.8 tablet with rotating touch screen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with up to 8 speakers and 4G connectivity for the OTA updates and BYD cloud support. The Premium model will also have a sunroof.
