BYD just release a video showing the Yangwang U9 completing the Nürburgring track in 7 minutes or “7 minutes and 17.900 seconds” to be exact. The video of the lap have been posted on BYD Global’s Youtube channel (embedded below).
First announced earlier this year, the Yangwang U9 is BYD’s first pure electric supercar that features a power system with four independent electric motors as its core, featuring agile and precise and four-wheel independent torque output control, bringing users the ultimate in safety, performance, and experience. The YANGWANG U9 packs a whopping 1,300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1680N·m.
Yangwang U9 has a reported top speed of 309.19 km/h and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds, with 0-400m acceleration in only 9.78 seconds. If you live in China, you can actually order the Yangwang U9 for 1.68 million RMB or around $232k (USD).
