As previously reported, Tesla has officially opens its store in the Philippines. The Elon Musk-owned EV maker will initially offer the Model 3 and the Model Y crossover in the country.
The Tesla Cybertruck which was recently reviewed by James Deakin, is not yet listed but it looks like it will also be offered in the country.
Just like in other countries, you can order your own Tesla directly online, the company rarely sell thru a distributor or a reseller.
The Model 3 is the EV sedan, while the Model Y is the crossover EV that features the iconic “falcon-wing doors.” Both model will be available in 3 variant; the Rear–Wheel Drive, Long Range AWD and Performance AWD.
The base model for the Model 3 (RWD) will have an estimated range of 513kn, top speed of 201 km/h and with an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 6.21 secs.
Model 3
- Rear–Wheel Drive – ₱2,109,000
- Long Range (AWD) – ₱2,489,000
- Performance (AWD) – ₱3,099,000
The base model for the Model Y (RWD) on the other hand will have an estimated range of 455km, top speed of 217km/h and with an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 6.9 secs.
Model Y
- Rear–Wheel Drive – ₱2,369,000
- Long Range (AWD) – ₱2,689,000
- Performance (AWD) – ₱3,299,000
Since a lot of Filipino are “car-lovers” its only a matter of time before we see a Tesla roaming the streets of Metro Manila or may be even the barrios being driven by your favorite Barangay Captain! 🙂
