At Paris Auto Show, Chinese EV maker BYD has unveiled the Sealion 7 EV, which the company is marketing to European drivers.
Sold as Sealion 7 in China, this is the first model built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo. BYD promises improved efficiency and performance, thanks in part to a “12-in-1” electric drive system.
No detailed specifications for the European version have been released but if it is similar to the Chinese model, it offers two battery options: 72 kWh and 81 kWh, with the larger battery providing a CLTC range of up to 610 km. Fast charging up to 230 kW.
